This policy explains how Thurayabiz(“we”, “us”), based in the Sultanate of Oman, handles personal data on thuraya.biz and the Thurayabiz Brief platform, in line with Oman’s Personal Data Protection Law (Royal Decree 6/2022).
What we collect, and why
Contact form: name, email, and message (phone, company and subject if you provide them), plus your IP address and browser user-agent for abuse and spam triage. We process these because they are necessary to respond to the enquiry you send us; used for nothing else.
Job applications (Join The Thinkers): our two application forms collect the details you enter to evaluate your application. For internship & trainingapplications: full name, gender, age, nationality, email, phone, university/institution, major/field of study, level of study, preferred duration, your areas of interest, your motivation note, and an optional résumé (PDF, DOC or DOCX). For career applications: full name, gender, age, nationality, email, phone, LinkedIn profile, the position applied for, preferred work mode, availability date, a brief cover letter, and your résumé (PDF, DOC or DOCX). In both cases we also record your IP address for abuse triage, and your explicit consent. Used solely to evaluate your application; résumés are stored privately and are accessible only to authenticated administrators.
Brief platform: when you register as a vendor or submit a brief on the Brief platform, we collect the business and contact details you enter there to operate the procurement process you are participating in.
Operations: our servers and error-monitoring (Sentry) may record IP addresses and technical request metadata in short-lived logs used to keep the service secure and working.
Cookies & analytics
By default we measure traffic with self-hosted Plausible Analytics, which is cookieless and does not store personally identifiable information.
Only if you accept the cookie banner do we additionally load Google Tag Manager, which may set cookies and send usage data to Google to measure our marketing campaigns. You can change your choice at any time via the Cookie Preferenceslink in the footer, or by clearing this site’s data in your browser.
Our forms are protected by hCaptcha; solving the challenge sends technical data (including your IP address) to hCaptcha to distinguish humans from bots — see the hCaptcha privacy policy.
How long we keep it
Job applications, including CVs and associated IP addresses, are deleted 12 months after submission unless you join us or ask us to keep your CV on file. Contact-form submissions are deleted 24 months after submission. Operational logs rotate on much shorter cycles.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data. It is processed only by the providers strictly required to operate the site: our self-hosted database and infrastructure, transactional email delivery, WhatsApp Business notifications (Meta), hCaptcha (form protection), Sentry (error monitoring), and — only with your consent — Google (Tag Manager / campaign measurement).
Two further points of transparency: the office maps on our Talk to Us page are embedded from Google Maps, so loading that page sends your IP address and standard request data to Google in order to render the map. And if we enable our optional image-CDN integration (Cloudinary), publicly displayed images (such as team photos) would be served from its infrastructure — résumés and form submissions never leave our own servers either way. Some of these providers process data outside Oman (including in the United States).
Our team’s public profiles
The team members shown on our Thinkers pages are published with their knowledge as part of their professional role. Team members can have their profile unpublished or corrected at any time by asking People & Culture or emailing hi@thuraya.biz.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and withdraw any consent you have given, at any time by emailing hi@thuraya.biz. We respond within 30 days. If you are unsatisfied with our response you may complain to the Omani data-protection authority (Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology).
